We had truly the most fantastic time at House of Gods. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special and no request was too big. It was so lovely to be able to have specialist cocktails and delicious pizza in a cosy bed, and so much attention to detail was put into the entire place. I would say that a few criticisms of the place are valid - it is quite dark, the rooms are quite small, and our room didn’t have a real window, just a fake one. However, they had set up lights on the other side to emulate day light which was quite nice, but a real window would have been nicer. I would absolutely stay again without a hesitation and highly recommend a stay here if you’re looking for somewhere special to stay in the city. A normal hotel it is not, but if you like dark, sexy, and moody then you’ll love it.

What an incredible experience. The setting is the most unique I've encountered (Orient express meets swank rock star velvet world). We were made aware the rooms were small (and thus the max two-night stay) but we were so delighted with everything else that it was a minor detail. Our room was so well engineered and perfectly designed with a hidden coffee bar, beautiful wooden trim, cupboards, and shelf surrounding the bed, a pull out drawer under the bed, and two way TV/mirror. From the quirky, cool emails about our House of Gods reservation, the welcoming Prosecco, the swank cocktail bar and phenomenal cocktails, the seemingly myriad of corridors with velvet and mystery, and the nighttime warm cookies and milk button (who has a button for that?? so fun!!), and breakfast in a delivered in a basket-- this was stellar and worth stepping back in time.

We stayed one night during the Fringe and enjoyed breakfast/milk and cookies as we booked direct. The room was comfy and I like the concept and style. The location was very handy for the various shows we were seeing, and we had great drinks and pizza in the bar terrace. The staff weren’t particularly friendly but were efficient 👍

Cons: -Small room. Good for one night but two starts to push it with two -Fake window. Dark room. I couldn't tell if it was a window or a light box. -no lock on the bathroom door. And it didn't stay shut very well, which provided very little privacy as the rooms are very small and the bed is close to the bathroom. Pros: -great service. responsive staff -fun atmosphere and aesthetic. Cool decor -central location

Booked this boutique hotel for my partners birthday with the treat me like I'm famous package. On arrival we were greeted and served a complimentary glass of prosecco. We checked in and were shown to our room. The room was a cabin room and is extremely small however it is well appointed and has lots of things hidden away which are remarkable. The service received here was exceptional and the package is most definitely worth the money. Signature cocktail was beautiful, as was the prosecco, cookies and breakfast hamper. Only complaint I had was what I asked for, for breakfast via whatsapp wasn't what we got. Would I stay here again no probably not as I thought it was quite expensive (£199pn on a weekday) for the size of the room however I would recommend everybody to try it at least once as it was a great experience and it's now ticked off.

A very stylish boutique hotel with immaculate service and nice touches like free Prosecco on arrival, a good breakfast hamper and £10 bar credit included. The rooms have a retro noir feel to them and are dark and sexy. If that is not your vibe, you probably will not like them as being too dark. The "cabin" rooms really are tiny but efficient in design. They are supposedly modelled on Orient Express cabins, but having travelled on that I did not find them that similar. A fun place to stay and a really convenient location (but be aware it is uphill to everywhere you are likely to want to walk to).

We stayed here for one night in a cabin room. If you book direct breakfast is included along with milk and cookies at night time and Prosecco on arrival which was a really nice added touch! The room was small but had everything you could need and was perfect for a short stay. The decor was amazing and very unique. The lighting is low especially in the corridors. Breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful :)

This place is absolutely DEVINE from the lovely staff, gorgeous decor and all the beautiful little details. Would absolutely go back here. The drink on arrival, bell for milk and cookies and breakfast hamper were all nice little touches. Would be perfect for a night with your BFF or romantic date with a partner. It’s right across from Casablanca’s if you fancy a night full of fun and drag excellence. Can’t recommend enough!
